Villa Penny offers the highest standards and best views we have seen in the Kokkari area, not to mention one of the friendliest owners we have come across, the hospitable Dimitris. It is located on a hill across the road from well-known Lemonakia beach, a 15 minute walk from Kokkari.
The freshwater pool measures 60 sq m (depth 0.60m-2.0m) and is only for the five apartments here. It also has a childrens section.
Most of the four 1-bedroom apartments are on the raised ground floor (one is first floor). They are spacious, light and cool, each comprising an open-plan living room with one or two sofa-beds (full-sized), a kitchen area with hob, oven and fridge, and a TV an air-conditioned twin or double bedroom and a bathroom with bath and shower. Each has a wide front terrace affording lovely views over Lemonakia in one direction and Kokkari Bay in the other.
The 2-bedroom apartment is on the top floor, and of a similar description with the addition of a second bedroom (one double, one twin). Picture windows give great views from the large living room, and its balcony runs the length of the apartment.
Fixtures and fittings throughout Villa Penny are of high quality, and all units have been tastefully furnished and decorated.
Due to the location, this property would not be suitable to anyone with walking difficulties. Popular white-pebble Lemonakia Beach, quickly reached in under 5 minutes via a short cut down the hill, has two good tavernas. Of course a much wider choice can be found in Kokkari a 15 minute walk away but bring a torch for late night returns. Or, if you dont want the walk home, a taxi from the rank in Kokkari will take you for only a few euros.
